Things aren't going as planned? Don't get frustrated. Almost every issue beginners face comes down to a few simple fixes.

The "I Can't See Anything!" Checklist

Before you give up and pack it in, run through this quick 4-step diagnostic:

1. The Dust Caps: Did you take the plastic covers off both the front of the main tube and the eyepiece? (It happens more often than you think!)

2. The Finderscope: Did you perfectly align your finderscope during the day? If not, you are flying blind.

3. The Focus Knob: Have you slowly turned the focus wheels all the way in both directions to find the focal point?

4. The Eyepiece Rule: Are you using the high-power 10mm eyepiece? Swap back to the 25mm immediately to widen your field of view and try finding your target again.
