The Moon is the best first target. You can also explore bright planets, star clusters, and distant daytime scenery when viewing conditions are suitable.
Is Vega Air a good first telescope for kids and families?
Yes. Its compact 70/400 design and simple manual controls make it one of the easiest Koolpte telescopes for a shared first experience.
What magnification should I start with?
Start with the 25mm eyepiece at about 16×. Once the target is centered and focused, move to the 10mm or 6mm eyepiece. Use the 3× Barlow only when conditions support higher power.
Can I take photos with my phone?
Yes. The included smartphone adapter and wireless remote can help you practice simple Moon and bright-target captures.
Why does the target disappear when I increase magnification?
Higher magnification narrows the field of view and makes small movements more noticeable. Return to the 25mm eyepiece, re-center and focus the target, then increase power gradually.
