Incredible telescope! Better than expected!

We set this up in our living room to view the moon and we left it there - as a permanent piece of furniture. The viewing was so clear and powerful. I highly recommend this unit for amateur night sky viewers.

Very first telescope. It was pretty easy to put together despite the directions. The view was and is amazing. Anywhere I point it, I can see hundreds of stars. The moon looks really good too. I think this is a great first telescope and would recommend it to anyone starting out. Being new to this I really have nothing to compare it to. But compared to your eyes, this telescope is out of this world. An ignorant five stars.

This product very easy to assemble. It is also very easy to transport to various viewing locations. The clarity on the item was by far the best out of previous telescopes I have ordered. Very great for beginner and amateur telescope users. I would definitely purchase other products from the company in the future.

I purchased this telescope for my husband. He loves watching & studying the stars. This is professional quality but easy to use. It is big but gives you more to look at.

This is a nice telescope. The lenses need to be upgraded pretty much out of the box but other than that, I have zero complaints.

My husband had no trouble assembling the telescope. It's a heavy high quality instrument and we can't wait to use it. A Christmas gift and it's sitting fully assembled. Shipped in a fantastic box fully protected...perfect condition. Highly recommend!

Been using this telescope in back yard when entertaining guests. Great on a clear night and very entertaining.

Bought for my husband who wanted to star gaze with a "nicer" telescope then the ones we have bought over the years. He loves it! Every night he enjoys hours of star gazing from our backyard. Came with everything he needed. Would highly recommend for someone just starting out. Excellent unit.

Bought this telescope as a Christmas gift for my husband. It came tightly and nicely packed. The smaller components and screws were securely packed and easily identifiable. Assembly was easy and took less than an hour. It is easy to adjust even for me. On clear nights we enjoy taking the telescope outside to view the craters on the moon. Excellent gift idea.

I purchased this telescope for Christmas for the family. It was fairly easy to assemble if you are reasonably handy. Once assembled I highly recommend watching youtube videos on how to set it up and calibrate the various functions. I knew nothing about telescopes before I bought this one. It took a few days and a much frustration to get it right but eventually it was worth it. I would recommend this telescope to anyone looking for the most bang for the buck.

I bought this for my husband who is an avid star and planet gazer. He’s been using his grandfathers old telescope and when he tried out this one, he was floored by the difference in quality and crispness of the images and how easy it is to navigate.

My wife and I purchased this telescope 130EQ as a Christmas gift or our son-in-law who has always wanted to get astrology as a hobby. Work and raising a family made this a low priority so gave him this telescope in order to get him started. He was extremely excited when he his telescope, The next day using instructions and available online videos he had it assembled in a reasonable amount of time.Telescope is solid with form following function, obtained star charts attached I phone/mini I mac and he was off and running. A life long hobby begins

A lot easier to use than we thought. Assembly was a little tricky at first but once we got our thoughts together it wasn't that difficult to assemble. Love it that tripod legs could adjust individually to get a better view.

i tried this scope out for the first time the other day. Jupiter and Uranus were both easily visible with the naked eye in the western sky. i could see Jupiter and 3 of its moons. the big orange circle on Jupiter was barely visible. I've had previous scopes that showed Jupiter a bit larger and could easily see the orange circle.

There is a lot to assemble for the telescope and while it wasn't hard, it wasn't easy either. It took a bit of time to put together. There is also a little bit of a learning curve to figuring out the knobs and adjustments to get a good clear view of outer space. But then again, this is our first telescope experience so all in all I don't think it was too bad.

This is a perfect beginner telescope. I got it for my 11 year old and she does well with it. I have to be with her for now, but I know she will be independent within soon.

I've always wanted a telescope and I got my wish! This was the perfect gift for myself and I have a clear view of the night sky! Every night is a new experience, viewing the moon, stars and other planets is truly an awesome experience. I love this telescope!

Assembly a bit challenging but follow the directions and you will be ok - lens are nice but upgraded to adjustable lens (see other reviews for product info). Would recommend calibrating mini scope on top to correlate with telescope before dark to make finding objects easier - be patient - takes some time to figure out how to find object but definitely worth the effort

The assembly instructions make it appear that it will be relatively easy to put together, although there hasn't been time available to do the assembly yet. There are a couple of places in the instruction manual that look as though something has been omitted, but it could be that I will find the instructions complete once I actually get assembling underway. Since I haven't done more than look at the components and read the manual a couple of times, I haven't had need of technical assistance yet. I am anticipating hours of fun with this telescope with my wife, children, and grandchildren, and neighbors, exploring the planets and stars.

It came with the secondary mirror lose so I now have to buy a laser to re adjust the secondary mirror. There is basically no instructions to put it together. The counter weight is way too heavy and I ended up just removing it because it was causing so many issues the parts are high quality. So it’s a good telescope but this company definitely needs to fix these issues or they will go out of business I’d like to see the success of this company because they use high quality parts but gave literally no instructions. Update I’ve had this telescope for a while now and I’ve added some photos to the review if you can get past all the other problems it’s a great telescope.

I’m new to the telescope, so I was disappointed that there weren’t any instructions on how to build it and how to use it. I live somewhere where there’s lots of light, so I am only able to see the moon with the telescope.

I bought this as a gift for my bf who absolutely loves his new telescope. It took him a little bit to put it together so I’d say children will need a parent to assist. Some of the parts can be a bit heavy too. He’s used it several times now to view the moon and various stars. The first few times we tried to use it there was a bit of a learning curve so one should be patient with themselves while trying to locate an object in the sky to view. But once you do it will be exciting. I enjoy looking at the moon with him. This is a bigger telescope so you’ll need some space to store it. And it’s not convenient to transport. But it’s certainly worth the buy and fun to use. It’s sturdy and all the parts feel durable.
